The South Japanese technical giant's Universe electronic camera lets customers get connected to a cellular system or Wi-Fi to discuss pictures and video without having to use a computer as a go-between.
While it's not the first to the industry, experts say Samsung's financial and marketing power suggest it could be the greatest risk yet to Japaneses control of the photographic electronic camera industry.
That industry, which analysis company Lucintel says will grow to be worth $46billion by 2017, is currently under the move of a few big manufacturers such as Cannon, Sony models, Panasonic, Nikon and Olympus.
The Universe electronic camera, which is available in the US for $629, features a 4.8-inch LCD touchscreen display screen and a 21x visible contact.
Users can send images immediately to other cellular phone devices via a 4G system, access the Online, email and public networks, modify images and even play games.
The easy-to-use electronic camera, and the excellent of the images, is targeted at mid-market 'pro-sumers' - not quite photography lovers but those who don't mind paying a top quality for user options not yet available on a smart phone - such as an visible, rather than electronic, zoom capability, better display, and picture stabilisation.
Analysts nevertheless say the company is set for a challenging fight with more established Japoneses companies.
'Samsung has a challenging row to hoe against companies Cannon and Nikon in the electronic camera product value scenery,' said Liz Reducing, mature picture specialist at analysis company NPD Team.
'Yet as a product known more in the connected device field, New samsung has a unique opportunity to transfer strength from nearby groups into the devoted electronic camera world.'
The Japanese group, which is currently fighting for cellular device supremacy against Apple, is already a international innovator in the industry in tvs, mobile phones and memory snacks.
Samsung last season brought its electronic camera and document picture company - one of its tiniest - under the guidance of JK Leg, who leads a cellular company that produced 70 % of Samsung's $7.4 billion dollars third-quarter profit.
'Our electronic camera company is quickly changing ... and I think it will be able to set a new milestone for New samsung,' Leg said at a release event in Seoul today.

In reaction it has just presented its first mirrorless electronic camera to tap into a growing industry for small, interchangeable-lens digital cameras that competing Nikon joined last season.
